History

The Saudi Arabian National Guard bought large numbers of Cadillac Gage Commando vehicles during the Cold War. These four-wheeled vehicles were fast, agile, and well-suited for patrolling vast desert borders.

In January 1991, National Guard V-150 crews fought bravely during the Battle of Khafji against Iraqi forces. Fitted with anti-tank missiles and cannons, the V-150s helped stop enemy armor attacks.

The vehicle remained an essential part of Saudi internal security and border defense forces well into the twenty-first century.
