History

HTMS Chakri Naruebet is a special ship designed for the Thai Navy. It was built in Spain and finished in the late 1990s. It is famous because it is the only aircraft carrier that Thailand has ever owned. It was meant to help the Navy look after the sea near Thailand. The ship is very big and can hold many helicopters. It also has a special ramp at the front to help planes take off into the sky. It stays in the water to help with rescues and to keep the ocean safe for everyone. Even though it does not carry many planes anymore, it is still a very important part of the Thai fleet. People often visit the dock to see how large and impressive the ship looks from the shore.
