History
The Bionix was the first armored vehicle designed entirely in Singapore. Before this, the army used older vehicles from other countries. Singapore needed a new machine that could handle the hot, humid jungle weather and travel quickly on muddy trails. The project started in the late 1980s to make sure Singapore had strong tools for defense. The Bionix is very strong and can protect the soldiers inside from small weapons fire. It is often equipped with cannons or machine guns to help the infantry fight. Since it joined the army, it has been updated many times to make sure it stays modern. It is a main part of the Singapore Army's ground strength today.
