History
The MiG-23BN is a version of a famous Soviet jet fighter. Cuba started getting these planes in the late 1970s. They were built to fly fast and drop bombs on enemy ground positions. The planes were very important for the Cuban military during its time in Africa. Pilots learned to fly them quickly and used them to help allies in difficult fights. Even though these planes are older now, Cuba still keeps some of them ready for training and defense. They are known for having wings that can move back and forth to help them fly at different speeds. The plane is a big part of how Cuba protects its island today.
