History
Designed by the Beretta company, the Model 38 was created right before World War II began. It had two separate triggers, which let the shooter choose between single shots or full automatic fire without flipping a switch.
Soldiers praised it because it was extremely reliable and stayed on target easily. Italian elite units like paratroopers used it first, and German troops also captured and used as many as they could find.
After World War II, the Italian military and police continued to use updated versions during the early Cold War, proving it was one of Italy's best firearm designs.
