History
In 1920, veteran leaders from Allied countries created the FIDAC (Fédération Interalliée des Anciens Combattants) in Paris. Led by French and American veterans, the organization brought together military veterans from Britain, Belgium, France, Italy, Romania, the United States, and other Allied nations.
The federation issued official commemorative medals and badges to celebrate wartime solidarity and work for international peace. Across the 1920s and 1930s, this medal was awarded to prominent Allied veterans and military figures who served together during the Great War.
