History
The Allied Powers were a major group of nations that stood together during World War II. The main leaders included the United States, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and China. They joined forces to stop the expansion of Germany, Japan, and Italy. The group grew over time as more countries decided to join the fight for freedom. Cooperation was a key part of their success. They shared weapons, food, and military plans to defeat their enemies on many different fronts. This alliance spanned across Europe, Africa, and the Pacific Ocean. By working together, the Allies were able to coordinate big landings like the invasion of Normandy. They also protected supply ships moving across the ocean. Even though these countries had different governments, they agreed on the goal of ending the war. The strength of this partnership made it possible to win the conflict by 1945. The Allied Powers eventually led to the creation of the United Nations to help keep peace in the world for years to come.
