History
The Rapid Forces Division, known in German as Division Schnelle Kräfte, was created to react fast to emergencies. It combines many different types of soldiers, including those who jump from planes and those who ride in helicopters. This allows the German military to move troops to a dangerous area very quickly. They are trained for very difficult missions where speed is the most important thing. The unit was reorganized in recent years to make sure they can work well with other countries during international crises. They often go on training missions with other NATO partners to practice working as a team. They are considered an elite group because their training is very hard and they must be ready to leave at a moment's notice.
