History

The 51st Division was part of the Ottoman efforts to keep their empire intact. It was made up of infantry soldiers who were deployed to critical areas. They were often moved to places where fighting was the heaviest.

The division participated in many defensive actions. They were tasked with protecting key roads and towns from enemy soldiers. The unit had to be flexible because the war moved across many different regions.

By the end of the conflict, the division had seen much action and lost many soldiers. Like many other Ottoman units, it was disbanded when the war concluded and the imperial system changed.
