History
The 23rd Infantry Regiment was created in the 1860s. Since then, it has served the United States in many different wars across the world. The soldiers in this unit are known for their hard work and fighting spirit. They are part of the Army and carry a flag with many honors printed on it. During the Korean War, the regiment played a very important role in holding back enemy forces. They fought in difficult mountain weather and steep terrain. The soldiers were trained to move quickly and support their fellow troops. Their actions helped the United States and its partners reach their goals during the conflict. The regiment is still active today. It continues to train new soldiers and prepares to help in times of need. Many young men and women serve in its ranks, following in the footsteps of those who came before them. The regiment remains a key part of the American military forces.
