历史
North American T-6 Texan是第二次世界大战时期最著名的先进教练机。它训练了成千上万名军用飞行员，使他们能够驾驶高速战斗机和重型多引擎轰炸机。
哥伦比亚从1940年开始采购T-6 Texan以建设其年轻的空军。在第二次世界大战期间，哥伦比亚飞行员驾驶这些飞机执行海岸监视任务，搜寻隐藏在巴拿马运河附近航道上的德国潜艇。
