歴史
Afghanistanは南アジアの中心に位置し、高い山々と乾燥した平原が広がっています。何千年も前から、交易商や旅人たちが偉大な帝国を行き来する際にこの土地を通りました。そのためAfghanistanは重要な場所となりましたが、同時に多くの軍隊が支配を求めて争う場所でもありました。
1919年、AfghanistanはThird Anglo-Afghan Warを経てBritainから完全に独立しました。その後50年間、この国は王国として道路や学校、都市の整備に力を注ぎました。
1979年の冷戦中、Soviet Unionが軍をAfghanistanに派遣しました。mujahideenと呼ばれるAfghanの戦士たちが10年間にわたり抵抗しました。他国の支援を受けたmujahideenによって戦争の代償は非常に大きなものとなり、1989年にSoviet軍は撤退しました。
さまざまなAfghanのグループ間での長年の争いの後、Talibanが国の大部分を支配しました。2001年、United Statesでの攻撃を受けて新たな戦争が始まりました。American軍とNATO軍は、Afghanの協力者たちと共に20年間戦いました。この戦争は2021年8月、Talibanが政権を奪還したことで終結しました。
現在、Afghanistanは若い世代が多く、独立と強さの深い歴史を持つ国となっています。
