歴史
Triesteで建造されたSMS Viribus Unitisは、オーストリア＝ハンガリー帝国艦隊に就役した最初のドレッドノート戦艦でした。3連装砲塔を装備した世界初の軍艦のひとつとして有名です。
第一次世界大戦中、この船は主にPulaの港にとどまり、艦隊戦力として機能しました。その強力な存在感により、連合国海軍はアドリア海全体で絶え間ない封鎖を続けることを余儀なくされました。
1918年後半、帝国が崩壊する中で、この軍艦は新しく結成された南スラブ国家へ引き渡されることになりました。しかし、新しい旗の下で就役する前に、イタリア海軍の特殊部隊によって吸着機雷で沈没させられました。
