History
The Order of Nasr was instituted following the Iran-Iraq War to honor individuals who provided critical military support, logistical backing, and combat leadership. While frontline troops received bravery crosses, planners and technical leaders needed recognition for their essential war efforts.
Like many modern Iranian decorations, it is issued in three classes. The badge features an Islamic star and decorative motifs signifying assistance and divine triumph in times of national defense.
Over the decades, the award has been given to both armed forces personnel and defense researchers who contributed to national security. It continues to be one of the highest support honors in the armed services.
