History
The Venezuelan Army has roots going back to the struggle for independence. Over the years, it has become a central part of the nation. It focuses on training soldiers to defend the territory of Venezuela.
During the twentieth century, the army kept a role in national events. It stayed neutral in most large international wars during the Cold War. However, it kept watch over the region to ensure stability.
Modern soldiers in the army train to help with many tasks. This includes protecting the border and helping during natural disasters. The army remains a key group in Venezuela for national safety.
