History
The SS started as a small group of guards for Adolf Hitler. Over time, it grew into a massive organization that held great power. Its members wore black uniforms and were known for their strict loyalty to the Nazi party.
During World War II, the SS created its own fighting units called the Waffen-SS. These troops fought in many of the biggest battles of the war. They were also responsible for terrible crimes against innocent people.
After the war, the leaders of the SS were put on trial for their crimes. The group was declared a criminal organization because of the harm it caused to humanity. Its actions remain a dark part of history.
