History
The Siamese Medical Unit was created to provide care for the soldiers serving in France. The medical team was made up of skilled people who wanted to help save lives during the war. They were well-prepared to treat injuries caused by battles and also to help with illnesses.
Working in a war zone was very hard for the medical staff. They worked in hospitals near the front lines where they saw many patients every day. They had to be quick and smart to make sure the soldiers got the best care possible under difficult circumstances.
The unit worked with other Allied doctors to manage the needs of the wounded. They were highly respected for their hard work and kindness. After the war concluded, the unit returned to Siam, and many of the doctors continued to serve their country in public health roles.
