History
The Qatar Emiri Land Force is the branch of the military that handles ground defense. It was created to help Qatar protect itself as a young and growing nation. Its soldiers are trained to work on the desert land that makes up most of the country.
During the Gulf War in 1991, the land force was part of the coalition that helped free Kuwait. They were involved in ground battles and showed that they could work well with other countries. This experience helped the force learn how to be better at fighting.
Since that time, the land force has continued to update its gear and training. They participate in international exercises to stay ready for any threat. They remain an important part of Qatar's plan to keep the nation safe from any dangers in the Middle East.
