The KSK is a group of highly trained soldiers who perform difficult missions to keep Germany safe.

Germany Founded 1996 Army

History

The Kommando Spezialkräfte, or KSK, was formed in 1996 because Germany needed a special team for dangerous missions. These soldiers go through very hard training to learn how to survive in the wild, jump from planes, and rescue people. They are the best of the best in the German army. Because their work is secret, you do not hear much about what they do every day. They are often sent to places where regular soldiers cannot go. They work together as a tight team to solve problems quickly. Even though they are small in number, they are very important to national security.
