History
The 10th Infantry Division was created long before World War I began. It was made up of soldiers from the German state of Hanover. They were trained to be professional and follow orders very closely.
When World War I started in 1914, the division was sent to fight on the Western Front. They participated in some of the most famous and difficult battles of the war. They had to endure long months in trenches and constant danger.
Throughout the war, the division was moved to different places as needed. They fought in major campaigns where they faced soldiers from France and Britain. It was a very tough time, and many soldiers were lost during the long years of fighting.
When the war ended in 1918, the division was slowly broken up as the German army changed. The history of the 10th Infantry Division shows how armies were organized during the Great War. It serves as a record of those who fought during that time.
