History
Formed in 1831, the French Foreign Legion is famous because men from any country can join it to become French soldiers. Historically, it served in many of France's colonies and helped expand its reach across the globe. Today, it remains a proud and tough group of soldiers.
Training for the Legion is known for being extremely difficult. Recruits must pass physical and mental tests to prove they are ready for the challenge. Once they join, they often serve in places where regular soldiers might not go, and they are known for their strong loyalty to each other.
Members of the Legion have their own traditions, uniforms, and songs. Even though the world has changed a lot since the 1800s, the Legion keeps its traditions alive. They are seen as elite soldiers who are prepared to handle the most dangerous missions for France.
