History
Ethiopia is one of the oldest countries in the world. It is located in East Africa and has a very rich culture. Unlike many other African nations, Ethiopia was never fully colonized by foreign powers for a long time.
During the twentieth century, Ethiopia faced many hard challenges. It was invaded by Italy in the 1930s before World War II. After the war, the country had a government that eventually changed to a communist system during the Cold War. This led to many internal fights.
In the late 1900s, Ethiopia worked to rebuild itself. The government changed, and the country began to focus on farming and trade. It now works with other African nations to bring peace to the region and improve life for its citizens.
