History

The Panhard VAB was created in France to move infantry squads quickly while shielding them from bullets and shell splinters. Its large rubber wheels gave it smooth mobility over sand and paved highways.

Qatar used the VAB during the late Cold War era and deployed it in the Gulf War. During combat operations like the Battle of Khafji, these vehicles helped carry Qatari troops and support units into the fight safely.
