History

The Panhard AML-90 was developed in France to give light units heavy firepower. Its light hull allowed it to race over desert sand dunes while carrying a surprisingly powerful 90 mm main gun.

Qatar operated the AML-90 through the late Cold War period and into the 1991 Gulf War. It served as a quick scout vehicle, finding enemy troop movements and giving light infantry units instant direct-fire punch.
