History
The Al Zubarah-class corvettes were built to help Qatar guard its long coastline. These ships were constructed in Italy to be very tough and capable of handling many different missions at once. They are some of the biggest ships in the Qatari Navy.
When these ships were finished, they were sent to Qatar to join the fleet. The ships are equipped with radar and guns that allow the crew to see and react to danger from far away. They were built to work well in the warm, shallow waters of the Persian Gulf.
These ships play an important role in keeping the seas safe for ships traveling in and out of Qatar. They are part of a plan to make the navy stronger and better prepared for the future.
