Geschichte
Der Panhard VAB wurde in Frankreich entwickelt, um Infanterietrupps schnell zu bewegen und sie gleichzeitig vor Kugeln und Granatsplittern zu schützen. Seine großen Gummireifen sorgten für gute Mobilität auf Sand und befestigten Straßen.
Katar nutzte den Panhard VAB während der späten Ära des Kalten Krieges und setzte ihn im Golfkrieg ein. Bei Kampfeinsätzen wie der Schlacht von Khafji halfen diese Fahrzeuge, katarische Truppen und Unterstützungseinheiten sicher in den Kampf zu bringen.
